I’ve had the privilege of working in the nonprofit, arts and culture sector in Rhode Island for over three decades. First as co-founder of Island Arts in Newport starting in 1991, then as the founding Executive Director of the Jamestown Arts Center, followed by the position of founding Executive Director of the United Theatre in Westerly and, most recently, as the interim Executive Director at the Jamestown Arts Center (a wonderful, full circle moment!) – with many adventures in between including a stint as Director of Development for RiverzEdge Arts Project, grant writer for the Aquidneck Island Planning Commission, and consulting gigs with individual artists and nonprofits. As a journalist I have written for Newport Mercury, Edible Rhody and the Philanthropists’ Journal – among other publications.
I have written poetry since I was a child and have been plant based for over three decades. My curiosity and love of learning have led me to certifications in Montessori education, medicinal herbalism, plant based nutrition, Proprioceptive Writing, and most recently Reiki.
Currently, I am working as a consultant with multiple nonprofit organizations as a strategist, creator of development and promotional content, and advisor.
